Electric Fly Killers Lamp use ultraviolet light to attract flying insects into the unit, and the insider electric grid release high voltage to zapping them dead.
UV tubes attract flying insects by emitting a wavelength of light (around 365nm) attractive to flies.
Flying insects are attracted to the tube which emits UV at a level comparable to that of the sun.
